TECHNOLOGY

Electrolyzer technology can be used to produce green hydrogen from renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power. This process, known as electrolysis, involves the splitting of water molecules (H2O) into hydrogen gas (H2) and oxygen gas (O2) using electricity.

In the case of using solar panels as a source of electricity, the panels convert sunlight into direct current (DC) electricity, which is then sent to an inverter that converts it into alternating current (AC) electricity. This AC electricity is then supplied to the electrolyzer, which uses the electrical energy to split water into hydrogen and oxygen.

Similarly, in the case of using wind turbines as a source of electricity, the turbines convert the kinetic energy of the wind into mechanical energy, which is then converted into electrical energy using a generator. This electrical energy is then supplied to the electrolyzer to produce hydrogen.

 

The resulting hydrogen is considered green because it is produced from renewable sources, and does not release carbon dioxide or other greenhouse gases when used as a fuel. This makes green hydrogen a promising solution for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in sectors such as transportation and industry.
